Q: Why is the new service called EmailTheWeb.com?
A: First a bit of history: As you know, the FireFox add-on was called Amazing Webpage Emailer but what was confusing to everyone was that the name of the website was jkn.com. As you could imagine, this was confusing for everyone. Going forward, the FireFox add-on and website will both be called EmailTheWeb.com. Simple.

Q: What happened to the discussion-only option?
A: It is not being supported at this time. If you would like for that to be re-introduced, please contact us.

Q: Why do I need to register a new account?
A: You need to register a new account only if you do not have a Google or Gmail account yet. If you do, you just have to sign in with your Google or Gmail email address and password. The reason why this is necessary, is so that you can access your Google or Gmail address book.

Q: I don't have a Google or Gmail address book. What should I do?
A: You may think you don't have a Google or Gmail address book, but you do. Every Google or Gmail account comes with one even if you never used it.

Q: Will I be able to import my Amazing Webpage Emailer address book?
A: Yes, you will be able to import your address book into EmailTheWeb.com

Q: Can I download the new EmailTheWeb.com FireFox add-on?
A: Yes, you can! It's right here.

Q: What are the improvements of EmailTheWeb.com?
A: There are so many, but these are our favorites:
  • EmailTheWeb.com emails web pages right away. AWE had an email delay to deter spammers.
  • Replies do not go through jkn.com anymore. When your recipients reply, they will go directly to you and when you reply to them, they will go directly to them. This means that your conversation won't be displayed so nicely, but the benefit is that you will get your replies much faster.
  • Integration with Google address book—so you only have to maintain one online address book.
  • EmailTheWeb.com always sends a copy of the web page to your email address. This currently cannot be turned off. For AWE, this was optional.
  • Revamped user interface to make it look more like a traditional email program.

Q: Does it cost anything to use EmailTheWeb.com?
A: There is no cost to use EmailTheWeb.com and we plan to keep the basic service free forever. However, we do plan to charge for premium services in the future. We also reserve the right to limit the number of emails that you can send to prevent abuse.

Q: What if I still have questions or feedback?
A: If you have questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact us.
